The spacial separation of the hours, minutes, and seconds on the face has a long tradition in the company's history. This style of time display was earlier used as a precise tool for measuring minutes and seconds.

The new Glashutte Original Tourbillon Regulator features unusual design of a classic regulator display in a modern way.

The displays for hours, minutes, and seconds are separate from one another and set vertically in a very readable way.

The tourbillon is the visual center of the face, and it is from here that the ray-shaped guilloche pattern radiates, visually symbolizing the stream of power.

The three-dimensional face made from white gold is hand-guilloche, black, and coated with rust-resistant zinc.

The middle part is the base part of this meticulously crafted face. It has a circular cutaway for the tourbillon that also has the second scale on the left side, while on the right there is the 154� scale for the hour display. This part, boasting nice, silver-colored, polished Arabic numbers for the retrograde hour display, completes the face�s time displays.

The minute display in the shape of a separate disc, an indication so important to the regulator display, centrally rises above the face on a second level in impressive size.

The expressiveness and good looks of the face continues in the solid platinum watchcase and movement design. Its structure is evident in the satin finished watchcase with polished bezels on the front and back. The gear train bridge is a new thing for Glashutte Original as it has been hand-carved with a flower pattern. The winding crown is topped off by an onyx cabochon.

This ticking jewel is powered by recently developed Caliber 46, a manually wound mechanical movement that once again reveals the high horological knowledge of Glashutte Original.

The precise mechanical movement, which has a classical design, offers a 60 hour power reserve. Thanks to its wonderful design, the tourbillon prevents the gear train from free running, hence controlling the seconds, minutes, and even the retrograde hours of the time shown with its constant rhythm. The power passes to a module through the center pinion, which is snapped up by the retrograde jump hour mechanism.

A pin wheel that jumps precisely 14 degrees forward every hour ensures the changing of the hour display when it�s time to go forward.
