Harry Winston designs watches that are anything but ordinary. Besides timepieces with precision timekeeping and precious stones the famous watch manufacturer created a masterpiece that sings. The masterpiece is called the Westminster Flying Tourbillon. This watch was designed to honor the new boutique of Harry Winston opened in London.

Among the timepiece's features, besides the tourbillon, one may find a minute repeater - the main aspect of the watch. The minute repeater chimes notes similar to the ones on the clock tower on the Palace of Westminster. Westminster Flying Tourbillon includes 4 cathedral gongs that are fixed around the movement. The four gongs play four notes in the tune of Westminster chime.

The watch is able to work for 70 hours without being winded and its movement can be seen through the case back which in its turn is covered by a sapphire crystal. There are only 8 examples of the 18 carat rose gold and gem-set timepieces of this kind. Westminster Flying Tourbillon is a watch that was manufactured to celebrate the new store in London and it is a model added to Harry Winston's Ocean collection.

This timepiece includes two main complications in the world of fine watches, which are: the tourbillon and minute repeater. The four gongs of the minute repeater play the same notes as the Westminster chime. Gongs are fixed around the movement. Inside the case of the timepiece one gong has a direct contact with the sapphire crystal of the case back. This is made to amplify the sound. When the mechanism of minute repeater is triggered its 4 hammers strike each quarter just like the original Westminster chime.

The notes played are as follows:

1st quarter: mi, re, do, sol;

Half hour: do, mi, re, sol, do, re, mi, do;

3rd quarter: mi, do, re, sol, sol, re, mi, do, mi, re, do, sol;

Hour: do, mi, re, sol, do, re, mi, do, mi, do, re, sol, sol, re, mi, do.
