Vacheron Constantin, the oldest continuously operating watchmaking company in the world, revealed two new timepieces to join its Platinum Excellence Collection. The event took place on November 13 at the XChange in New York City.
In tribute of Clive Davis' Success
By organizing the Platinum Excellence event the Vacheron Constantin Company wanted to honor Clive Davis for his remarkable achievement in the music industry. Mr. Davis has reached amazing success in his carrier, being a Multi-Platinum selling Record Producer and Executive. His story of success started at CBS, then followed by his foundation of Arista Records. Today Clive Davis is Chairman and CEO of BMG.
Jennifer Hudson Performance
Clive introduced his protege, Academy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson. Jennifer, one of Barbara Walters '10 Most Fascinating People of 2007, gave a special performance. Everyone present at the event greatly greatly enjoyed her singing four songs, including tracks from the singer's new album. One of the guest s was even taken by Jennifer to appear on stage and invited to sing together her hit song from Dreamgirls, 'One Night Only'.
More Celebrities
Julien Tornare, President of Vacheron Constantin North America also invited A-list celebrity Kate Bosworth to join the event. Celebrity DJ, DJ Cassidy was spinning some of Clive Davis' artists' greatest hits. He was entertaining the guests during the pauses between Jennifer Hudson's performing.
Amazing Platinum Creations
Throughout the evening the attendees had a chance to see Vacheron Constantin's newest platinum watches presented along with a unique collection of historical platinum timepieces. The platinum watches, dating back to 1820, were taken from the brand's Museum in Geneva, Switzerland. Vacheron Constantin watches were dressed in custom-made platinum dresses and the could touch, feel and see the perfect hand-craftsmanship of each timepiece.
