Vacheron Constantin replica watches comprise a lot of unique timepieces following the rich history of the prestigious watch-making company.
The world's most complex wristwatch was introduced by Vacheron Constantin into the horology world in 2005 to mark the brand's 250th anniversary.
The timepiece borrowed its name from one of the historical sites of Vacheron Constantin situated alongside the modern Maison Vacheron Constantin on the Quai de l'Ile. The masterpiece features the case designed specially for all the anniversary watches with channeled bezels, newly-designed Maltese Cross symbol crowns, distinguishing and really lovely lugs in the shape that can only be reached by hand finish and long hours of thorough shaving and polishing for each lug.
The Tour de l'Ile took about 5 years to be developed. As the result there appeared the hand wind caliber 2750 that comprised 834 parts, an assembly which may last for up to 5 months. The timepiece was supplied with the 16 complications housed in a 47mm rose gold case with a two-sided display.
The Tour de l'Ile is an extremely legible timepiece. It represents a tourbillon with oversized cage in form of the Maltese Cross standing out at 6 o'clock; a hand engraved moon-phase placed at 3. A slightly off-centered minute circle is divided in 5 minute increments, with the number 45 replaced by 250 at 9 o'clock as though to remind about the company's venerable age. The main dial on the front side demonstrates a 58 hour power-reserve display in a segment at 9 o'clock, along with the hand-engraved Geneva quality hallmark and a second time zone indicator at 11.
The indications in the back display are arranged in a truly aesthetic way in a number of circles and semi circles. The dials of the perpetual calendar, organized in a triangle, show the days of the week, the months and the date. A small opening at 1 o'clock features the leap years. Two astronomical indications, sunrise and sunset times, are demonstrated by hands moving over two segments at 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock.
For those subject to romantic mood, the timepiece features an extremely precise sky chart of the Northern Hemisphere visible from an observatory. This complication depicts the starlit sky and indicates the stellar time.
The wonder has been produced in just 7 pieces, one of which is maintained for the Vacheron Constantin private collection and number 1 was sold at the VC thematic auction held by Antiquorum in Geneva in April, 2005. The remaining 5 timepieces are available at the Vacheron Constantin boutique in Geneva.
Watch enthusiasts worldwide has applauded to the successful design of the true work of art represented by Vacheron Constantin's Tour de L'ile.
Having joined the 250 years of Vacheron Constantin Company's existence, Vacheron Constantin replica watches will continue to stir the world's imagination with outstanding innovations and horological feats.
